Drive to Zero to come under Northgate focus at Great British Fleet Event

With the Government’s 2030 ICE ban starting to get a bit too close for comfort, a growing number of fleets are trying to embrace the shift to electrification while ensuring operational continuity.

It’s an area where Northgate Vehicle Hire will share its expert insights at this month’s Great British Fleet Event on 29 March in Hammersmith, dealing with fleets’ key questions around future mobility.

In the event’s Sustainability Masterclass, Northgate’s Joshua Hooper, product category manager, will speak on the ‘Drive to Zero’.

This will include providing advice on how fleets can switch long-term to zero emissions without impacting business productivity and operations – something the business has in-depth knowledge of through its work to offer both ICE and EV powertrains – and a wide choice of vehicles tailored to your fleet needs.

Working closely with OEMs, Northgate is continually adding to its EV range to meet customer needs across all electric LCV vans, conversions and electric cars.

It also trained EV technicians in each workshop and has invested in bringing EV infrastructure solutions to customers. With ChargedEV recently joining the group, it’s able to offer a turnkey solution that is also hardware and energy-agnostic to suit needs.

The business also has a solution to meet on-the-go charging needs – with a combined fuel and electric charge card available that is accepted at over 1,000 rapid chargers and 3,000 fast chargers.

Northgate’s talk at Great British Fleet Event is just one of a number of expert Masterclass sessions – which will cover everything from risk management and the Highway Code changes, to making telematics work for the long term. Northgate will also appear in the event’s comprehensive exhibition section, where fleets can find the latest products and services showcased.

And in the afternoon the winners of this year’s Great British Fleet Awards will be announced.
