A-Z fleet essentials to come under focus in 2020 Great British Fleet Event Masterclasses

Initial details have been revealed of the conference line-up for Fleet World’s 2020 Great British Fleet Event – which will see speakers cover fleet essentials ranging from air quality and connected services, through to V2G and zones for urban areas.

Part of the ‘3 in 1’ event format for the 2020 Great British Fleet Event – which takes place on 30 January at the London Novotel West and also includes a comprehensive exhibition area with networking opportunities and the afternoon’s awards section – the conference will provide four Masterclasses, ranging from Mobility and Connected Vehicles to Technology and EVs, and each including a number of prominent speakers in these areas.

Confirmed speakers include Catherine Westoby, projects communications specialist at Transport for London, who will discuss ‘Zoning in on Fleet’. Part of the Mobility Masterclass, this will look specifically at the expansion and tightening of zones to clean our urban air.

The Mobility Masterclass will also see Ben Boutcher-West, head of mobility at AppyParking / AppyWay, explore the subject of parking and the possible solutions to the ever-growing number of cars on our roads.

The increasingly pertinent subject of connected and electric vehicles will be spotlighted as part of the Connected Masterclass, which will see James Dewhurst, from Web Fleet Solutions (formerly TomTom Telematics) explore how EVs and connected services complement each other.

Alongside the Technology Masterclass, the Great British Fleet Event will also include an Electric Vehicle Masterclass, which will see Fiona Howarth, CEO, Octopus Electric Vehicles, talk on ‘Power to the people – How V2G offers new opportunities for fleets in particular’.

These are just some of the highlights of the conference section, with further speakers to be revealed in the coming weeks.
