AA Driving School has been recognised for its work in the development of a new digital platform to help people training to become driving school franchisees.
The team, headed up by Mark Born, collected the Bronze Award in the Best Use of Learning Data Analytics to Impact Learner And Business Performance category at the recent Learning Technologies Awards in London.
The new platform, co-developed with Thrive, gives AA Driving School trainee instructors access to all the resources they need away from in-car learning to successfully pass their external tests, manage their franchise, and ultimately come onto franchise quicker than before.
The platform delivers practical help and advice on how to become a driving instructor, such as applying for licences and tests, numeracy, literacy and IT skills; all essential for franchisees to run their businesses successfully.
The award entry was submitted in partnership with Thrive, and included testimonials from learner instructors and a presentation to the judging panel.
The AA Driving School impressed the judges by demonstrating learning effectiveness and learner engagement.
Mark Born, head of AA Driving School Academy, said: “Our training teaches people not only the fundamentals of how to be an instructor, but also how to run their own business and the extra responsibilities of being a driving instructor.
“We’re always looking to improve what we offer our trainee instructors. This award is validation this work is paying off.”
