Ben’s Industry Survey 2019 to explore latest health and wellbeing challenges

Ben’s latest automotive industry survey is now open for responses as the charity looks into the biggest health and wellbeing challenges that the sector is facing.

Now in its third year, the survey will provide valuable feedback to help the charity ensure its health and wellbeing services remain relevant to those working in the industry now and in the future.

Last year’s research found 91% of employees had been affected by a health and wellbeing issue in the last year while 64% of employees said poor sleep was affecting their health and wellbeing. As a result, Ben has been developing its services to offer people more choice in how they receive support, for their mental health in particular. Ben also developed online support and advice to help people improve their sleep, which has been viewed 4,400 times since launching in May 2019.

The latest survey is once again aimed at anyone who works, or has worked, in the automotive industry, and takes less than 10 minutes to complete, with all responses anonymous so participants don’t need to reveal their name or contact details. Ben is also asking employers to share the link with their employees.

Rachel Clift, health & wellbeing director at Ben (pictured), said: “We really do listen to automotive industry people – the insights revealed from each annual survey are vital and we need to continue gathering them so we offer the relevant health and wellbeing support now and in the future. Thank you to everyone who takes part in this survey, we really appreciate your time and feedback.”
