CA Cars signs up Trakm8 for connected services on driving instructor fleet

Trakm8 has won a three-year deal to provide Commercial Associates (CA Cars) with connected vehicle services across its fleet of cars leased to driving instructors.

The collaboration will deliver vehicle health monitoring and mileage tracking for CA Cars’ dual-controlled vehicles, supplied to driving instructors and their schools across the UK.

CA Cars is a family-owned business that exclusively supplies vehicles for contract hire and sale to driving instructors.

The business had previously trialled telematics services with a different provider but sought a more comprehensive solution and turned to Trakm8.

Trakm8’s C430 devices, which offer advanced vehicle health monitoring through the ‘Connectedcare’ solution, are proving the ideal fit for CA Cars’ needs. Integrated with the Insight Business Platform, the tailored package includes accurate odometer readings directly from vehicle dashboards and proactive vehicle health monitoring.

The precise data from the mileage tracking enables CA Cars to monitor servicing needs and manage mileage effectively throughout the lease term, while the diagnostics data from Trakm8’s Connectedcare solution enables the company to maintain vehicle health, prevent downtime and enhance the residual value of its assets.

Dave Reynolds, developer at CA Cars, said: “We previously trialled another telematics company, but their data wasn’t as in-depth as what Trakm8 could supply. Trakm8’s vehicle health data was outstanding. During the trial, we intentionally created faults in the vehicle, and Trakm8’s system identified them immediately. The true odometer readings provide improved visibility of mileage across our fleet, which is highly beneficial.”

Joe Heidari, fleet and optimisation sales director at Trakm8, added: “This collaboration exemplifies how our solutions can meet the specific needs of fleets of all sizes. By integrating our market-leading telematics and vehicle health monitoring, CA Cars can accurately track mileage and proactively maintain their vehicles.”
