First speakers announced for 2023 Great British Fleet Event

The countdown to the 2023 Great British Fleet Event continues with the first details revealed of the speaker line-up.

The event, which takes place on 25 April at Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes and is open for registrations, is fast shaping up to be the fleet event of the year – and the early speaker line-up reinforces this.

Guests already confirmed include Chris Chandler, fleet consultant at Lex Autolease. A specialist in sustainability and the transition to electric vehicles, Chandler was awarded the prestigious Energy Saving Trust’s “Green Fleet (unsung) Hero” accolade in 2015 in recognition of his significant contribution to sustainable transport in the UK.

Joel Teague, CEO of Co Charger, will also be presenting at the show. No stranger to public speaking – he’s spent a lot of time as a commentator, panellist, guest, protagonist and soap-boxer on many aspects of the transition to sustainable motoring – Teague has big ideas for the future of EVs.

Someone else who’s passionate about the transition to EVs is Paul Kirby, director of EV Essentials. He has more than 30 years of auto sector experience including working for an LCV OEM, managing a fleet operation and senior leasing roles in the CV sector. All of which adds up to some singular insights on the EV shift.

Ardent EV supporter Niall Riddell, CEO of electric fuel card firm Paua, will also be at the show to discuss the decarbonisation and electrification of transport, drawing on a background that includes director and EV roles at energy utilities and advisory work to the Government and businesses.

The speaker line-up also includes Addison Lee’s director of sustainability and regulation Andrew Wescott – who will talk first-hand on the firm’s experiences of switching its 4,000-strong fleet to fully electric vehicles.

Sustainable consultancy edenseven will also be at the event – and partner Simon King will shed light on the right way to set up a sustainability strategy.

And Northgate’s head of product development Joshua Hooper will also talk about the company’s extensive customer proposition on electric vehicles, including its Drive to Zero comprehensive fleet electrification programme.

These are just some of the speakers who will be at the show within the Masterclass conference section. Many more will be announced in the coming weeks, covering: fleet management, vehicle funding, taxation, essential operational advice and risk management.

And our expert speaker line-up is just one of the many strings to the Great British Fleet Event bow – a lively exhibition section (see early details here) and extensive networking opportunities mean this is THE event to catch up on the latest industry solutions/insights/gossip.

The event culminates in the evening’s black tie gala dinner, which will reveal the crème de la crème of the fleet sector in Fleet World’s Great British Fleet Awards (click here for entry details).
