Harvey & Brockless enhances delivery service with Teletrac Navman

Harvey & Brockless has switched to running telematics from Teletrac Navman to optimise its delivery service.

The specialist food supplier distributes to a nationwide network of customers using a 75-strong temperature-controlled fleet, including a range of vans and 7.5-tonne commercial vehicles along with HGVs.

The new deal will bring more sophisticated vehicle tracking and reporting under Teletrac Navman’s DIRECTOR fleet management platform, providing Harvey & Brockless with full visibility of its fleet performance as well as the ability to maintain food safe temperatures during transit.

Vehicles are fitted with a temperature monitoring system, which ensures that temperature-controlled goods are handled correctly and remain in the right condition, allowing the business to gain real-time visibility to address any issues and avoid losses.

The new solution also enables the business to monitor driver behaviour, providing data on harsh braking, fast acceleration and cornering, so safer driving practices can be implemented to reduce risks when out on the roads.

Additionally, the deal includes the MNAV 950 portable communication device installed into every vehicle, along with access to Teletrac Navman’s Professional Services team to help plan and implement the fit-out across the entire fleet.

Robert Elliott, fleet manager at Harvey & Brockless, said: “When looking to change our tracking and telematics provider, Teletrac Navman really stood out by offering continuous temperature monitoring during shipment, which allows us to maintain compliancy by preventing food safety problems from occurring. The investment has also helped to optimise driver journeys, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction through the smooth running of our services.”
