IAM RoadSmart has appointed Carlota Da Veiga Pestana to the position of business development and operations director, completing its senior leadership team.
Carlota has extensive commercial experience and was most recently chief commercial officer at Smart Cities World – a leading global platform dedicated to exploring and accelerating the development of smart cities worldwide.
Her background also includes nearly three years as commercial lead at Smart Mobility Living Lab; a London-based real-world connected environment for testing and developing future transport and mobility solutions.
Carlota joins IAM RoadSmart as the organisation embarks on a latest phase of growth with new opportunities to put road safety and transport at the forefront of the agenda.
Carlota said: “I am looking forward to joining the senior leadership team and playing a vital role in overseeing the business development and operational changes to support this, working alongside colleagues and our passionate group and volunteer community.”
IAM RoadSmart chief executive Antony Kildare commented: “Road deaths are still unacceptably high and the delivery of new services to complement our existing portfolio will be key to upskilling road users.
