Life-saving benefits of driver training come under Fleet Source spotlight at GBFE

Commercial vehicle operators attending this month’s Great British Fleet Event will benefit from in-depth insight from Fleet Source into how professional driver training can mitigate risk and save lives.

A prominent provider of training – the business trains tens of thousands of HGV and van drivers each year – Fleet Source offers a wide array of training, all under its ‘Better Drivers, Better Business’ mantra.

Founded in 2012 to simplify the legal obligations for work-related road transport, the business runs a network of fleet specialists, trainers and compliance auditors, offering a combined wealth of transport experience and knowledge gained from proven backgrounds including enforcement bodies, transport authorities, commercial and military logistics.

Fleet Source’s key USPs include being one of the top 10 Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training providers in the country. All its CPC courses are JAUPT-approved and it can train up to 24 drivers per course.

It’s also one of the UK’s largest providers of FORS Professional training and says it’s the UK’s largest Approved Vulnerable Road User (Safe UK Driving, Safe Urban Driving & Van Smart) training provider, helping fleet operators reduce the risks of incidents with vulnerable road users such as cyclists.

Latest developments have also seen Fleet Source incorporate virtual reality into several of its training programmes including its new Safe UK Driving course, which covers all aspect of road driving in the UK, from rural and motorway to urban. The business has also developed virtual reality for its award-winning TRIP (Terrorism Risk Incident Prevention) course.

All this and more will come under focus at the Fleet Source stand in the exhibition section at the Great British Fleet Event 2020 – which takes place on 30 January at Novotel London West and also includes a busy Masterclass conference line-up, followed by a prestigious awards ceremony and lunch.
