New TCO analysis tool to air at 2020 Great British Fleet Event

A new lifecycle cost analysis tool for fleets is to come under focus at this week’s Great British Fleet Event alongside a forthcoming next-generation mobility solution.

The Capital Asset Management (CAM) product has been developed by fleet management software specialist AssetWorks and is described as the first and only software solution available to automate lifecycle cost analysis for fleets.

Providing an easier and far more accurate alternative to the spreadsheets still used by many fleets to calculate lifecycle costs, the tool has four primary modules: Analytics, Planning and Budgeting, Procurement and Remarketing. Each module is linked to a database, which is integrated with the maintenance system. Additionally, CAM can be integrated with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, such as SAP, to support financial and fixed asset management functions.

CAM integrates directly in AssetWorks FleetFocus, which has been developed to provide a truly integrated fleet management software solution and includes complete control for energy /fuel management, inventory, motor pool and a full suite of mobile applications; the business says it’s the only UK fleet provider to have a complete fuel system fully integrated into the main software. FleetFocus also offers compliance with the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme.

Further work by the AssetWorks team will see the arrival later this year of its new ‘EGDE’ tool, which will focus on providing next-generation mobility for operators.

Visitors to the Great British Fleet Event 2020 – which takes place this Thursday 30 January at the Novotel London West and is free to attend – will be able to find out more from the AssetWorks team at stand D5 on the CAM and ‘EGDE’ solutions and how FleetFocus can be used to achieve fleet compliance and drive operational efficiencies and greater cost controls.

Further highlights of the Great British Fleet Event include an informative conference line-up – comprising four Masterclasses on Mobility, Technology, Connected Vehicles and Electric Vehicles – which will be followed by the lunch for the Great British Fleet Awards.
