Smart Fleet Solutions sends contributions to local causes

One of the UK’s leading vehicle refurbishment and de-fleeting specialists, Smart Fleet Solutions, is closing the decade with its latest charity donations to local community groups.

Recognising the importance of community engagement as a major employer across several counties in the UK, the charity donations make positive contributions to locals around the company’s four technical centres in Wiltshire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and Scotland, along with its head office in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

The charities are each nominated by employees, with one winner from each site chosen at random. This year’s recipients of a £500 contribution are:

  • Trowbridge Under 14 rugby team, Wiltshire – wet weather waterproofs will be purchased with the donation
  • Olivia Langley, Nottinghamshire – rehabilitation and mobility equipment: https://www.gofundme.com/f/livs-recovery-fund
  • Yett Farm Football Club, Scotland – kit and equipment for this community club
  • Childs Ercall bowling club, Staffordshire – running costs for this local club
  • Kelsall Wellbeing Hub, Cheshire – annexe to the new village surgery to support the physical and mental wellbeing of all residents particularly the elderly and those less able to access services outside of the village

“We are delighted to be able to support the local good causes which are dear to the hearts of our employees as well as raising funds for Debra, our charity of the year. Our aim was to raise £10,000 for the skin charity this year and we’ve met this target with the help of our suppliers, training partners and employees.” explained Theo Kortland, managing director of Smart Fleet Solutions.

“This is our second round of charity donations for our local neighbourhoods this year and we have been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to this initiative. As we continue to grow our workforce, we are looking forward to being able to reach out to our wider community to offer support throughout the next decade.”
