Trakm8 moves into Scandinavia with KomTeknik partnership

Trakm8 has signed a new deal with Sweden-based KomTeknik to provide telematics solutions to fleets across Scandinavia.

The new contract, which has recently been formalised, will see KomTeknik join forces with Trakm8 as its new channel partner, launching Trakm8’s range of telematics and software solutions to a brand-new market place.

The initial agreement will see Trakm8 supply two of its solutions to KomTeknik for distribution, with more to follow. The first two solutions to be made available will be the Connect 320, Trakm8’s commercial and fleet management tool, and RH600, its telematics camera offering.

Founded in 2019, KomTeknik specialises in providing integrated solutions, designed to strengthen efficiency, to businesses across Sweden.

As in the UK, the use of telematics software is growing quickly in Sweden, a trend Patrick Berg, who founded KomTeknik alongside Fredrik Håkansson, was keen to be involved with.

Patrick explained: “When we first set up KomTeknik last year, we set out to meet demand from Swedish fleet managers for a more comprehensive telematics technology offering. Having looked at what was already available on the market, we quickly realised Trakm8 would be the best fit for both our customers needs, and our ambitious growth plans.

“What set Trakm8 apart so clearly from their competitors was the depth of their product offering, which encompasses the full range of solutions needed by the modern fleet manager – from on-board cameras, to vehicle tracking, to driver behaviour monitoring functions. In addition, the team impressed us with their expansive knowledge on existing and upcoming fleet management trends and issues, not just in the UK, but also here in Sweden. We’re delighted to confirm our relationship with Trakm8 and are looking forward to starting work with them in earnest.”

Trakm8’s new association with KomTeknik is the latest in a series of European expansions for Trakm8, which also includes a widening of its Partner Programme; a framework of resellers and trusted partners, designed to create long-term growth potential, develop new business and build a network of trusted Trakm8 re-sellers around Europe.

Chris Horbowyj, channel sales director at Trakm8, added; “Sweden has long been identified as a key growth market for telematics, so we’re absolutely delighted to be able to supply businesses across the country with our leading telematics solutions via a channel partner as dynamic and forward-thinking as KomTeknik.”
