Ways to tackle e-mobility and smart mobility to be revealed at Great British Fleet Event

Next month’s Fleet World Great British Fleet Event will bring vital insights into the key e-mobility and smart mobility sectors to help operators make the switch from traditional fleet operations.

Taking place on 30 January 2020 at the Novotel London West, the Great British Fleet Event will further the work of this year’s show, including an even bigger and better conference section.

Running alongside the busy exhibition/networking area and ahead of the afternoon’s comprehensive Great British Fleet Awards, the conference will bring vital advice for fleets via four Masterclasses, ranging from Mobility and Connected Vehicles to Technology and EVs, and each including a number of prominent speakers in these areas.

This includes ALD Automotive’s head of consultancy Matt Dale (pictured), who will look at ‘Past and present – What are the key mobility opportunities for fleets today?’ under the Mobility Masterclass, drawing on his extensive experience in heading up a team of consultants specialising in future mobility, Mobility as a Service, Alternative Fuelled Vehicles and Total Cost of Ownership.

One of the biggest changes to ever hit the fleet sector, the shift to a holistic business mobility approach is bringing sweeping changes to the conventional fleet manager role. At the Great British Fleet Event, Matt will bring his specialism in future mobility to give guidance on how fleets can prepare.

Meanwhile, the challenges facing fleets from the move to e-mobility will  come under focus at January’s Great British Fleet Event, with the Electric Vehicle Masterclass to include a talk from José Manuel Carvalho, business development director for Europe at Portuguese e-mobility specialist Efacec.

Providing an overview of ‘Fuel for thought – Transitioning from fossil fuel to electric power’, José will explore the obstacles facing fleets adopting electric vehicles and how to streamline the evolution.

These are just some of the speakers planned for the event, with further details to be revealed in the coming weeks on what promises to be the most comprehensive fleet event of the year.
