Honda slashes price for e:Ny1 electric SUV

Honda has shaved £5k off prices for its e:Ny1 electric SUV in a move to help more drivers go electric.

Prices now start at £39,995 for the Elegance model and £42,195 for the Advance version, down from £44,995 and £47,195 respectively.

The carmaker, an event partner for next week’s Great British Fleet Event, said the lower pricing would provide customers with unparalleled choice, convenience and affordability.

Launched in October 2023, the e:Ny is the first model to be built on Honda’s all-new front-wheel-drive e:N Architecture F platform. The powertrain combines a 204hp electric motor and a 68.8kWh battery, giving up to 256 miles of WLTP range.

Specification on entry-level Elegance grades includes an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat in synthetic leather, heating functionality for both front passengers, auto-dimming mirrors, dual-zone air con, a wireless charging pad and multiple USB ports, smart entry and push button start as well as power heated mirrors, sequential indicators, and privacy glass.

The Advance grade introduces black or light grey premium synthetic leather seats, panoramic sunroof, heated leather steering wheel, premium audio system, handsfree power tailgate and Honda’s Parking Pilot system

Both models come with a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and 15.1-inch central touchscreen with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Honda is also providing customers with the flexibility to purchase the e:Ny1 online, as well as in-store at dealers, from later this month, to suit preferences. Customers will be able to carry out the entire car buying process – including part-exchanges, arranging test drives and sorting finance applications – completely online.

“April marks an exciting milestone for Honda as we unveil our new approach for the e:Ny1,” said Rebecca Adamson, head of automobile at Honda Motor Europe Limited (UK). “We are incredibly excited for the future of electric mobility and are proud to offer customers an exceptional blend of convenience and affordability. This new proposition reflects our commitment to innovation and sustainability, and we are confident that it will empower customers to ‘Go Electric’ with enthusiasm.”
