ADESA UK signs up as a Great British Fleet Event partner and exhibitor

ADESA UK is the latest industry heavyweight to join the 2020 Great British Fleet Event line-up, as both a partner and exhibitor, showcasing its game-changing digital fleet remarketing solutions.

ADESA provides businesses, leasing companies and carmakers with remarketing solutions that accelerate change across the fleet sector through its ‘Faster, Smarter and Easier’ approach.

As ADESA only operates in the digital world, the company says it does not have the legacy issues associated with traditional physical auction businesses. This enables it to deliver technology-led solutions which help to reduce both the Total Cost of Disposal and the carbon footprint of its customers by eliminating multiple vehicle movements. Being accessible through any mobile device, the solution removes the “handcuffs” that are tied to traditional physical auctions.

As a digital disruptor ADESA has taken a clean sheet approach to fleet remarketing, with its online UPSTREAM platform enabling businesses to defleet vehicles 24/7, rather than await the next convenient auction sale day.

At the Great British Fleet Event – which takes place on 30 January 2020 at the London Novotel West – the company will showcase its latest innovation; ADESA IVI (Intelligent Vehicle Inspection), said to mark the first deployment of Artificial Intelligence in the UK remarketing sector.

This ground-breaking solution enables fleets to further reduce the time and costs associated with defleeting by empowering drivers to carry out vehicle inspections using a smartphone or tablet linked to the ADESA IVI platform.

This means end-of-contract cars can be inspected within minutes and posted online the moment they are defleeted, avoiding unnecessary depreciation. Vehicle details are automatically generated with transparent condition reports based on the finance provider’s charge-out method and in accordance with the BVRLA’s fair wear and tear standards.

ADESA IVI also removes the need for costly and time-consuming third-party inspections, limiting the risk of reputational damage for leasing and finance companies if these are conducted in an unsatisfactory manner. Additionally, compound storage fees are also removed from the process.

Furthermore, ADESA IVI is helping fleets address their carbon footprint by removing the need for multiple vehicle movements which typically includes visits from third-party inspectors, followed by the car’s transfer to a compound, travel to the auction site – where vehicles are moved several times – and then onwards to the trade buyer.

At the Great British Fleet Event, the ADESA team will demonstrate to fleet decision makers how ADESA IVI is using technology to transform the remarketing industry and reduce the Total Cost of Disposal by:

  • Using AI to produce transparent and fully costed condition reports
  • Avoid unwanted surprises
  • Prevents unexpected last-minute bills
  • Reduces time between end of contract and disposal
  • Removes storage costs
  • Reduce exposure to depreciation and book-drops
