Athlon UK has been named as one of the Best Places to Work in The Sunday Times’ rankings for 2024.
The annual survey, powered by employee-experience platform WorkL, recognises Britain’s top employers across a multitude of sectors, scoring on reward and recognition, information sharing, empowerment, wellbeing, instilling pride and job satisfaction of employees.
Athlon UK was ranked in the category for medium-sized organisations, scoring over 80% in all topics surveyed, with many reaching over 90% – topping the industry and global average.
The results recognised the car leasing and fleet management firm’s “above-average salaries and bonuses, plus a flexible pot of benefits, including discounted car and van hire”.
They also noted Athlon’s employee-managed reward scheme, which allows peer-to-peer recognition with quarterly celebrations of all nominees.
The Sunday Times also reported that training and development are valued at Athlon UK, as is communication, with monthly ‘town halls’ and regular one-to-ones.
First launched in the UK in October 2020 and backed by ambitious plans, Athlon says it’s worked hard to create a diverse, welcoming and innovative culture that values every employee and provides a positive and inspiring place to work.
Patricia Wolfe, managing director at Athlon UK, said “Our goal is to create an environment where every colleague feels valued and empowered. Only through personal growth can we serve our customers in the best way and achieve business growth. This recognition reaffirms our belief that when you prioritise the wellbeing and development of your colleagues, everything else falls into place.
“We take immense pride in being recognised as a best place to work, and we’re excited to continue building a business where each individual can contribute, develop and be happy.”
The company added that the results reflected employee dedication and commitment, and thanked everyone who has supported the Athlon UK journey so far.
