BP Pulse to reveal all you need to know about going electric at Great British Fleet Event

While fleets are increasingly embracing the switch to electric vehicles, it’s a topic that brings bespoke considerations when it comes to building a strategy for larger fleets.

It’s an area that BP Pulse is a particular expert in – and it will be sharing its knowledge at this month’s Great British Fleet Event, taking place on 29 March at Novotel London West in Hammersmith.

As part of the morning’s EV Masterclass conference session, Alex Potts, head of sales at BP Pulse, will talk on ‘Transitioning to an Electric Fleet’.

This will explore how to transition a fleet at-scale, advising on the various considerations when you are building a strategy for your fleet; from charge point functionality to future plans of action.

Potts has significant experience in EV charging; prior to joining BP Pulse in March 2021 as head of sales, he was head of smart cities & infrastructure at Pod Point.

His EV career has hinged on delivering optimised EV charging systems for large organisations.

“Huge focus is given to charge point functionality but there is nothing like the rigorous optimisation of your installation to ensure best value,” outlines Potts.

Other speakers already confirmed for the EV Masterclass include David Watts, commercial manager (UK & Ireland) at British EV manufacturer Arrival Automotive UK Limited.

His talk on ‘Changing the EV Narrative’ will look at ironing out best practice, and cutting through the misinformation when trying to create a framework for the recent surge in electric vehicle popularity (more details of David and his speech are here).

Alongside EVs, the Great British Fleet Event Masterclass sessions will also tackle the hot topics of ‘Sustainability, ‘The Future of Fleet’ and ‘Mobility & Logistics’. For more details, click here.

Other highlights of the Great British Fleet Event include a buzzing exhibition section that will enable visitors to discuss their own challenges and find the latest solutions.

And in the afternoon, the prestigious Great British Fleet Awards will reveal the fleet managers, service firms and manufacturers at the forefront of the sector.
