With just ten days to go, the Great British Fleet Event is to showcase the latest fleet trends in an unmissable conference schedule that covers topics ranging from electric and connected vehicles to technology and mobility.
Kicking things off will be the Mobility Masterclass, starting with ALD Automotive’s Matt Dale, head of consultancy, who’ll talk about the key mobility opportunities for fleets today and how they’ll affect business. The influx of alternatives to car ownership are increasing, and with the likes of car sharing and clever forthcoming technology, mobility as we know it is rapidly changing.
It’s an oft-overlooked but essential part of our infrastructure, and in particular with the advent of plug-in cars that will need to be charged up when stationary, parking has never been more important. Joining the Mobility Masterclass is Ben Boutcher-West from AppyWay, who’ll discuss the future of parking and how fleets can manage this increasingly important and congested topic.
The diverse array of speakers include Catherine Westoby, projects communications specialist at Transport for London, who’ll talk about the expansion and importance of Clean Air Zones and the role they play in making London’s urban environment a better, cleaner place for residents and businesses alike.
The question of whether fleets will still need drivers in the future will be addressed by Mark Preston, founder and chief strategy officer at StreetDrone (and also known for his work as team principle at Formula E’s Techeetah) who’ll provide fascinating insight into cutting-edge autonomous vehicles and how they may revolutionise the fleet industry.
Rounding out the Mobility session is Nick List, customer success director for Europe at eDriving, who’ll address what effect Mobility as a Service (MaaS) will have on the management of fleet driver safety.
Two Masterclass sessions at the Great British Fleet Event run concurrently, with the Mobility Masterclass and Connected Vehicles Masterclass taking place at different ends of the exhibition area and starting from 10:00am, followed by the Technology Masterclass and Electric Vehicles Masterclass that kicks off at 11:30am.
The Great British Fleet Event takes place on Thursday, 30 January 2020, at Novotel London West in Hammersmith. The free-to-attend event consists an exhibition and conferences. To pre-register and secure your free entry, click here: https://eventdata.uk/Forms/Form.aspx?FormRef=GBF10Visitor
