Engineius expands leadership team with two new appointments

Vehicle movement specialist Engineius, which is exhibiting at this April’s Great British Fleet Event, has appointed Ritz Patel as IT director and Samantha Thomas as head of network strategy.

The business, which has achieved rapid growth since launching in 2018, said the appointments show its commitment to simplifying vehicle movement for customers.

Ritz Patel joined Engineius in 2017, pre-launch, after over 15 years with the AA. He has a wealth of industry knowledge and technical experience and has progressed with Engineius in developing the advanced technology that underpins the customer offering. He has also been instrumental in developing the company’s tech platform and data environment.

Chris Clibbery, founder/director, of Engineius said: “Ritz was only the second person we employed at Engineius and was with us when we made our very first movement! He has always been an integral part of our development team and really deserves his promotion to IT director.”

Ritz added: “It has been exciting to watch Engineius grow and see how well our tech-enabled service has been received. But you can’t stand still with tech, and my mission is to consistently provide our customers with the very best digital solution.”

Samantha Thomas joins Engineius from Deliveroo and brings extensive experience in managing and planning logistics. The Engineius network has tripled in size, and her analytical approach will help ensure that it continues to scale and builds on its high level of efficiency.

Clibbery commented: “Samantha has a passion for the detail and making sure that the facts drive decisions. Her findings will support Ritz and the network team to keep Engineius at the top of the game. We are delighted to have her on board.”

Samantha added: “Joining such an exciting start-up gives me a great opportunity to make a difference and be part of this fantastic journey. Typically, in logistics, maximising the potential of our growing network in the greenest and most efficient way is an ever-changing challenge, and a mission I’m thrilled to accept!”

Engineius will be exhibiting at the Great British Fleet Event on 25 April at Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes, where it will discuss its work to solve all the latest challenges in vehicle movements.
