Connected fleet management is one of the most revolutionary developments to arrive in the fleet sector, transforming the face of the industry as the car turns into a mobile device that can capture vast amount of vehicle and driver data.
But for many operators, ensuring that they use this data in the right way, deriving valuable insights to ensure safer, cleaner and more efficient fleet operations, can be a challenge.
It’s an area that will come under particular focus at next week’s free-to-attend Great British Fleet Event at the Novotel London West, including from Webfleet Solutions – now a Bridgestone company and previously known as TomTom Telematics.
Drawing on more than 21 years’ experience of connecting commercial fleet vehicles to drivers and businesses to help make their daily job easier, Webfleet Solutions will have a team of experts present at the show on Thursday 30 January 2020 to talk about how fleets can use big data to their advantage.
This includes a talk from James Dewhurst, corporate sales manager UK, on ‘The future of connected fleet management’, as part of the Connected Vehicle Masterclass running in Conference Area 2 in the morning at Fleet World’s Great British Fleet Event (see more conference details here).
Dewhurst will look at how data from connected vehicles is changing fleet management, offering the opportunity to drive meaningful decisions, improve fleet safety by motivating driver improvement and meet HMRC obligations with reliable, accurate odometer data.
Furthermore, the Webfleet Solutions team will also be at the company’s stand at the Great British Fleet Event (Stand B2) to showcase how WEBFLEET can improve business workflow, protect company assets, combat fleet inefficiency, help deliver the highest level of experience for customers and, most importantly, look after driver wellbeing.
