Gurtam, a leading European software developer of GPS tracking and IoT solutions, has received ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its information security management systems and data processes.
ISO/IEC 27001 is the go-to standard for excellence in information security, giving confidence to companies and their customers that risks are adequately managed. This includes safeguarding financial information, intellectual property, employee data and information entrusted by third parties. It also covers other areas, including human resource management and procurement management processes.
The certification was awarded following a comprehensive series of audits conducted by CERT International s.r.o., a Slovakia-based auditing company, and reinforces Gurtam’s commitment to maintaining the highest standard of cybersecurity and resilience in all aspects of the company’s operations — from the development and distribution of telematics and IoT solutions, to partner and customer support.
Aliaksandr Kuushynau, head of the Wialon global telematics and IoT platform at Gurtam, said: “Our GPS tracking software products are used in more than 150 countries, and we make every possible effort to ensure that the ‘Developed by Gurtam’ label is synonymous with impeccable quality. Earning the ISO/IEC 27001 certificate sends a strong message to our existing or potential partners and customers that our team is equipped with the latest knowledge, tools and resources to keep information secure at all times.”
Gurtam has also committed to continued investment in the newest technology and know-how to ensure its software solutions, company operations and processes meet or exceed world-class standards for data protection.
Gurtam has signed up as a partner to this month’s Great British Fleet Event and will be showcasing how it can help operators with their telematics and tracking needs. Aliaksandr Kuushynau will also be speaking in the Masterclass conference programme. To sign up for a free ticket to the event, on 25 April at Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes, please click here.
