Hummingbird Insurance Services joins Driving for Better Business

Hummingbird Insurance Services has signed up to the Driving for Better Business scheme, reinforcing its road safety commitments.

The commercial fleet insurance business will use the scheme to support its long-term cost management and risk mitigation support for clients.

Driving for Better Business – which will be at this month’s Great British Fleet Event – is a free-to-access government-backed National Highways programme, delivered in partnership with RoadSafe.

It works to improve road safety by promoting good management practices and demonstrating the benefits for organisations, their employees, contractors and other road users.

The scheme already has more than two million drivers and over one million company cars registered – including grey fleets – plus one million-plus light commercials vehicles and more than 200,000 HGVs.

Nigel Holmes for Driving for Better Business said: “Partnering with organisations that share our vision is inspiring and I’m especially pleased to welcome Hummingbird Insurance Services to the Driving for Better Business family to work together promoting good practice in road risk management, among its customers, helping everyone to get home safe and well. By becoming a partner, Hummingbird customers will have access to a range of free resources, guides and tools. These will help deliver significant benefits, both for the companies and their employees.”

Ben Peters of Hummingbird added: “Partnering with Driving for Better Business embodies our commitment to our customer-centric values, focusing on risk reduction, premium cost savings, and bolstering the industry we hold in high esteem. This alliance is a testament to our dedication to not just serve, but also to contribute meaningfully to the sectors we proudly support.”

Driving for Better Business will be at this month’s Great British Fleet Event on 17 April in Milton Keynes to demonstrate how it’s supporting fleets with their road safety programmes.

The organisation will showcase its work in the extensive exhibition section, while campaign manager Simon Turner will take part in the Masterclass conference programme to shed light on how fleets can reinforce their risk management.
