Exhibitors and visitors at this year’s Great British Fleet Event have been glowing in their praise of the one-day expo, conference and awards format, which attracted key decision-makers from all sides of the industry to the show’s West London venue.
Now in its second year, the event was held yesterday, Thursday 30 January, at the Novotel London West with exhibitors including BMW, Nissan, MG, Transport for London, ALD Automotive and TrakM8 among the 35 exhibitors.
Running concurrently with the exhibition, the two conference programmes, with masterclasses on Mobility, Connected Vehicles, Technology and an Electric Vehicles clinic, were standing room only, with every speaker enjoying a capacity audience.
The expo was followed by a champagne reception courtesy of Airmax Remote and a full reveal of the fleet manager, supplier and vehicle winners in the Great British Fleet Awards luncheon.
Fleet World Group MD, Jerry Ramsdale, enthused: “We’re delighted at the success of this year’s event. The aisles in the networking area were busy throughout and the feedback from exhibitors and visitors was extremely positive. We believe we have a unique event format that combines the best features of an exhibition, conference programme and gala awards dinner in one. But the most important element of that is the year-round support that we offer our Event Partners and exhibitors, providing value beyond the life of the January event itself. I’d like to thank everyone involved in the Great British Fleet Event 2020 and once again, congratulate our award winners. We hope to see you all again next year.”
What they said:
Commenting on the firm’s successful electric vehicle clinic, Peter McDonald, Fleet Director, at Nissan GB, said: “We were really happy with the roundtable, and had great dialogue with a number of key fleets at the trade show. This means it was a great event for us, we got to talk about Electric Vehicles and can measure a good return based on the number of customers we met.”
Nick Guise, group marketing manager at TrakM8, said: “Congrats on the event, it was great! An improvement on last year’s.”
“The event was excellent …well attended. The presentations were a really good mix,” added Anthony Machin, head of content and product at Glass’s.
Dan Hawkes, head of sales production, corporate mobility and MI at Europcar, finished: “Thought the exhibition in the morning was great. Was great to see a presence of so many electric vehicles in the flesh and I thought the Masterclasses I attended were all of interest.”
