Latest risk management and training solutions under spotlight at Great British Fleet Event

DriveTech is to exhibit at this month’s Great British Fleet Event, raising awareness of the latest driver risk and driver training programmes for fleet operators.

The free-to-attend event takes place on 29 March 2022 at Novotel London West in Hammersmith and will see DriveTech showcase its comprehensive solutions and services, helping fleets reduce costs, save lives and protect reputations.

In particular, DriveTech will be highlighting a number of key services and issues, such as the increasing emphasis on EV fleet transitions and the specific EV familiarisation training and services available to support drivers.

The business added that it’s already seeing a notable increase in demand for training and risk management services in 2022. This is due in part to the fundamental changes to the Highway Code and growing awareness that drivers must be made aware of the increased emphasis on more vulnerable road users.

The significant tightening of laws on the use of hand-held mobile devices in-vehicle, which comes into effect on 25 March 2022, is also adding to pressure on fleets.

And recently published guidance from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) on duty of care has brought major new considerations for operators. This includes the need to have adequate programmes in place to ensure the safety of all drivers, including grey fleet and gig economy road users.

At the Great British Fleet Event, DriveTech will also share its newly launched white paper on ‘Micromobility: Navigating new technologies and the safety and business risks’. Launched last week, the publication informs businesses about the challenges and risks of micromobility, as well as their corporate obligations, and highlights that safety training is key.

DriveTech is just one of a large number of fleet service firms exhibiting at the Great British Fleet Event on 29 March, showcasing latest solutions.

Meanwhile, an information-packed conference programme will reveal the latest thinking on electric vehicles, fleet management, telematics and more. Speakers already confirmed include Simon Turner, campaign manager for Driving for Better Business, who will talk about how the pandemic has required fleets to radically adapt procedures to keep their organisations operational.
