Nora Leggett, former director of member services at the BVRLA, has been appointed as director of human resources with immediate effect.Under the new post, Leggett is responsible for managing recruitment, internal communications, payroll and benefits. She will also maintain responsibility for the association’s Learning and Development team, which delivers a wide range of courses, qualifications and e-learning solutions created to raise standards and professionalism across BVRLA members.
Leggett has more than 20 years’ experience at the association. She started her career as a graduate trainee with Hertz UK and gained her post-graduate qualification as a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development in 1979.
BVRLA chief executive Gerry Keaney commented: “In today’s challenging and uncertain times it is more important than ever that we are able to support our members and protect their interests. We can only do this effectively if the BVRLA continues to attract, recruit and develop the best staff.”
He added: “Nora has always been responsible for the association’s HR function, but this new job title reflects both the growth in the organisation and the importance we place on developing and supporting our workforce.”
