OEC to reveal how to cut fleet repair costs and downtime at 2024 GBFE

Vehicle repair specialist OEC has signed up as a show partner for this April’s Great British Fleet Event, enabling attendees to find out how to cut downtime and costs.

The business was founded in 2000 by four major automakers – Daimler-Chrysler, General Motors, Ford and Bell & Howell (now Snap-on Business Solutions) – to overcome the hurdle of selling parts into dealerships, garages and bodyshops.

It’s since expanded to also provide technology solutions – including FleetLink (also known as Athoris in France).

This dynamic fleet solution brings together leasing companies, fleet operators, suppliers and repairers, enabling seamless work approval and invoicing for all required vehicle work, including servicing, maintenance and repair (SMR) and tyres.

SMR, bodywork, glass and MOTs are all costly – and ensuring optimum efficiency in these areas is key to remaining competitive for vehicle operators.

At the 2024 Great British Fleet Event – which takes place on 17 April at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes – OEC will reveal how FleetLink reduces vehicle downtime and saves millions in processing costs.

It’s an intelligent digital workflow tool, transforming complex authorisations into a single-click action, reducing the manual administration processes required by technicians and accountants.

With access to OEC-approved data, pricing, labour and parts information, FleetLink provides a line-by-line breakdown and automatic approval without human interaction, resulting in quicker integration of billings, invoicing and payments for fleet operators.

The results are proven too – one European OEM using FleetLink is saving over £3m a year and eliminating about 80% of its authorisation time. Faster authorisation means faster completion of repairs, keeping fleets on the road as much as possible.

This year’s Great British Fleet Event will also include an extensive exhibition section – featuring carmakers, leasing firms and other fleet solutions specialists alongside OEC.

The show also includes an insightful Conference Masterclass programme – details of which will be revealed shortly – and the evening’s black-tie gala dinner to reveal the winners of the Great British Fleet Awards. More event details are here.
