Sygic and The Algorithm People partner on end-to-end transport planning solution

A new pay-as-you-go online optimisation tool is to launch for fleets this year; the result of a partnership between UK-based route optimisation and fleet scheduling specialist The Algorithm People and global GPS navigation pioneer Sygic.

Aimed at fleet operators, hauliers and last-mile delivery companies, My Transport Planner will help operators to increase productivity, cut costs and reduce emissions, by planning routes and schedules more efficiently. The platform can also optimise the use of electric vehicles, offering mapping of charging points to enable a top-up charge during a shift, helping vehicle operators to get the best possible return on investment from EVs. Furthermore, integration with third-party apps can also provide daily vehicle checks and signature capture for electronic proof of delivery while users will also be able to communicate accurate estimated times of arrival (ETAs) to their customers.

Colin Ferguson, CEO of The Algorithm People, said: “Sygic is a leader in its field, so we are delighted to be partnering with them to create a unique, integrated product. Combining our companies’ expertise and capabilities creates a true end-to-end solution for commercial vehicle operators.”

Through its partnership with Sygic, The Algorithm People will offer enhanced functionality to My Transport Planner including integrated truck sat nav and on-device route optimisation. This additional functionality will enable users to optimise routes in real-time on their mobile device and navigate to their destination while avoiding roads unsuitable for the vehicle.

Miroslav Remecky, VP of Enterprise Business Unit of Sygic, said: “My Transport Planner has the potential to truly disrupt the route optimisation market – and because it also encompasses electric vehicles; it will contribute to accelerating overall commercial fleet electrification and the decarbonisation of road transport.”
