Targa Telematics has signed up as a member of the Airport Services Association (ASA), spurring its work on ground handling.
The ASA is an international association that brings together the largest providers of airport services, and the tie-up will enhance Targa’s growth in this market segment.
The tech company already supports fleet management projects for ground support equipment in several airports worldwide and plans to invest significantly in this market.
Targa offers technologies for the management, maintenance, monitoring and pooling of ground support equipment, enabling remote, real-time monitoring of vehicles to improve processes and activities, optimise maintenance and enable sharing. The platform can also be used to certify compliance with applicable regulations to the relevant authorities.
The telematics business supports mobility projects in several airports worldwide, aiding stakeholders such as airport authorities, airlines, ground handlers and other motorised vehicle operators involved in airport activities.
As a member of ASA, Targa will provide all members with data on ground support equipment at airports, particularly in Europe and Oceania, on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Jad Tabet, head of international airport business development at Targa Telematics, said: “We are particularly proud to have joined ASA and to collaborate with numerous players in the airport sector, a sector where we are continuing to grow steadily.
“We have solid experience in managing airport service vehicles and together with ASA we aim to drive innovation in ground handling by digitalising airport processes and enhancing safety, efficiency and sustainability.”
