Trakm8 scoops Fleet Safety Partnership title at UK Fleet Champion Awards

Trakm8 has been recognised for its work to help drive road safety at Altrad Services in the UK Fleet Champions Awards 2020.

The telematics specialist took the Fleet Safety Partnership Award at last week’s virtual ceremony, which was held by Brake and judged from a short list of 40 fleet operators, suppliers and manufacturers by a panel of experts.

The accolade, jointly presented to Trakm8 and Altrad, recognises the work by the two firms to target road risk at the industrial services provider. Thanks to a comprehensive company-wide programme underpinned by Trakm8’s telematics solution, Altrad has worked to eliminate common driving errors and decrease the incidence of accidents.

As a result of the partnership, Altrad has reduced its spending on fines and repairs by 40% and cut incident numbers from an annualised rate of 32% to 12.5%. Using Trakm8’s 0-100% traffic light system, driver behaviour improved from 62% to 93%.

The Altrad and Trakm8 award was one of 14 presented at the UK Fleet Champions Awards 2020.

Peter Mansfield, group sales and marketing director at Trakm8, said: “The UK Fleet Champions Awards is one of the highlights of our calendar year and to take home the Fleet Safety Partnership Award, in conjunction with our highly valued customer Altrad Services UK, is something we are extremely proud of.

“It’s important that we celebrate the life-saving work the fleet industry undertakes in order to keep roads and drivers safe and this award win is one of many examples of how the latest telematics technology can bring about real change for fleets across the UK.”
