Venson Automotive Solutions has earned accreditation under the Freight Transport Association’s (FTA) Van Excellence scheme for the fifth consecutive year.
The certificate, which is based on the FTA’s best practice guidelines, recognises Venson’s continued commitment to raising the standards of van and light commercial vehicle fleets across the industry.
The accreditation saw FTA auditors visit Venson to examine its procedures for managing its in-house commercial fleet, including driver checks and vehicle record checks.
Auditors made particular note of Venson’s level of preparation prior to their arrival, which made their auditing process much smoother, and were also impressed by the knowledge and commitment to the scheme demonstrated by everyone who from Venson who participated in the audit.
Commenting on Venson’s accreditation, Mark Cartwright, head of vans and light commercial vehicles at FTA, said: “Year-on-year, Venson shows its dedication to enhancing all its van operations to meet the requirements of the Van Excellence scheme. The aim of the initiative is to drive up standards in fleet safety, efficiency and sustainability and we are delighted to publicly recognise Venson’s achievements in all of these areas.
“We hope Venson’s accreditation encourages more van operators to follow their lead and focus on maintaining the best vehicles and driver safety and compliance.”
Venson managing director Samantha Roff added: “We’re extremely proud to see the whole Venson team engage with our mission to raise standards within the industry. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we continue to be recognised as an example of best practice.”
