Brake webinar to discuss fleet community outreach work

Brake is to run a free webinar discussing the important role organisations can play in influencing safe and healthy mobility in the communities where they work.

The webinar is being run under the Global Fleet Champions campaign, which launched earlier this year to prevent crashes and reduce pollution caused by vehicles used for work purposes, and is the second in the Essentials of Fleet Safety series of 60-minute webinars, which are based on the five pillars of Global Fleet Champions.

It takes place on 2 April 2019 and will advise delegates on how to inspire, inform and engage different audiences on road safety issues, including staff, contractors, local communities and government, and also get involved with simple events and campaigns to engage with their communities.

Attendance is free, and delegates can register by booking online.

Sarah Plumb, senior fleet officer at Brake, said: “Organisations not only have a duty of care for their drivers and vehicles but for the communities in which they operate. Community outreach work can bring a number of potential additional benefits to organisations helping to develop a good reputation among potential customers and other stakeholders, such as staff and their families.”
