Expert insight into how businesses can electrify their fleets – and decarbonise their overall mobility – is to feature as part of next month’s Fleet World Great British Fleet Event.
Taking place on 30 January at the London Novotel West, the event will include a conference section, providing four Masterclasses, ranging from Mobility and Connected Vehicles to Technology and EVs, and each including a number of prominent speakers in these areas.
Running alongside the comprehensive exhibition area ahead of the afternoon’s awards section, the conference will bring vital advice for fleets looking to go greener.
The line-up includes a talk from the BVRLA on ‘Electrifying and decarbonising the world – How we’ll stay mobile without negative emissions’.
Drawing on the experiences of the association’s 980+ member organisations, which are responsible for a combined fleet of over five million cars, vans and trucks on UK roads, the talk will look at how businesses can take action on adopting electric vehicles while also embracing the shift to mobility.
Further insight into fleets’ EV adoption will also be provided by Fiona Howarth, CEO, Octopus Electric Vehicles, who will give an overview on ‘Power to the people – How V2G offers new opportunities for fleets in particular’.
And the Connected Masterclass will see James Dewhurst, from Web Fleet Solutions (formerly TomTom Telematics) explore how EVs and connected services complement each other.
These are just some of the highlights of the conference section, with further speakers to be revealed in the coming weeks.
